Runners Roost recommends Lakewood's Bear Creek Lake Park


Bear Creek Lake Park is the largest of Lakewood's more than 80 parks at approximately 2600 acres. It is unique as a city park since it offers multiple picnic sites; camping; a large fishing lake, stocked regularly with trout; horseback riding; many bike trails, both dirt and paved; hiking trails; boating, swimming, and wind surfing; and a water-skiing concession during the summer months.  The park is a 20 minute drive from downtown Denver.
